This section deals with all types of batteries that are used in the house these are
Cordless phone batteries County battery Services have tried make a comprehensive list of all cordless phone batteries by fitment. Cordless phone batteries are generally Nickle Metal Hydride ( NIMH)which on some occasions replaces the old Nickle Cadmium (NiCad) cordless phone battery
Hearing Aid Batteries these are normally of the Zinc Air chemistry, which uses air as the electrolyte for the battery Lithium or Zinc is not normally used in a hearing aid battery. Hearing aid batteries are normally sold in packets of 6
Lithium Batteries
This section deals with the more obscure of Lithium batteries typically Lithium-thionyl chloride (Li-SOCl2). Lithium-thionyl chloride batteries are used for numerous applications generally for back up and low power drain applications. Because Lithium-thionyl chloride cells have a very low self discharge they often have a shelf life of up to 10 years.
Camera Batteries
Most modern cameras use Lithium Manganese cells which are three volts. Occasionally a specialist Zinc or alkaline battery is fitted these can normally be sourced od manufactured at very reasonable prices.
Watch Batteries
Watch batteries are used for a wide section of products not only watches. Watch batteries are fitted into toys, electrical equipment, testers, key fobs etc. There are three types of chemistry the alkaline watch battery, the silver oxide watch battery, and the lithium manganese watch battery. The alkaline and lithium watch batteries are 1.5 volts the lithium watch battery is 3 volts
Duracell Batteries
The top four Duracell batteries are in this section AAA Duracell batteries, AA Duracell batteries,C Duracell batteries, and D Duracell batteries, the Duracell battery number for these is MN2400, MN1500,MN1400, and MN1300 respectively
Alkaline Batteries
AAA batteries , MN2400 batteries or R3 batteries there are countless other names that are listed in the relevant product descriptions
AA batteries or MN1500 batteries, or R6 batteries then follows C batteries ,MN1400 batteries, R14 batteries. The largest in this group is the D battery, MN1300 or R20. The products stocked in this range are GP and Energiser.
Rechargeable Batteries
This section includes chargers and the most popualr of thease are the rechargeable nickle metal hydride AA and the eechargeable nickle metal hydride AAA
Coin Cells
a wide range of coin cells are stocked Coin Cells are so called because they are Coin-shaped cells The prefix "CR" indicates lithium manganese dioxide chemistry. As LiMnO2 cells produce 3 volts there are no widely alternate chemistries for a lithium coin battery. One LiMnO2 cell can replace two alkaline or silver-oxide cells. They are commonly used in Car key fobs. Two batteries are fitted to some car key fobs but mainly one battery is present. The key turns on and off the alarm as well as opening the door. These batteries are also used in various other types of electrical equipment and instruments.
