YUASA LAUNCHES NEW VRLA BATTERY TO MEET LATEST SECURITY INTRUDER ALARM STANDARDS

Yuasa Battery has introduced a new valve regulated lead acid (VRLA) battery to help security installers meet the latest European standards for intruder alarm systems.

The new REC 10-12 is a 12V maintenance-free battery that is specifically designed to help engineers meet all installation and system specifications as defined by EN 50131 for the security industry. The battery offers an extended design life of 7 years and an increased capacity of 10Ah (20h rate).

For easier installation and maintenance, the REC 10-12 features larger size 6.35mm Faston tab 250 terminals. Although the new battery has a slightly increased height of 112mm, it has the same footprint (151 x 65mm) as Yuasa’s NP7-12, making the REC 10-12 compatible with existing security systems using this popular product. Battery weight is approximately 3.6kg.

Operating temperature ranges are -15 to +50°C for discharging, 0 to +40°C for charging and -15 to +40°C standing.
